Pekin Marigold Festival
Announces 2022 Festival Chairperson
Brandon Burling has
been selected to serve as chairperson to the 50th Pekin Marigold
Festival, held September 8th through 11th.
Pekin, IL- Meet Brandon Burling: your 2022 Pekin Marigold
Festival Chairperson! A lifelong resident of Pekin, Brandon Burling has served
on the festival committee for four years.
“With this being the 50th festival, the committee
and I want to deliver an experience which is talked about for years to come,”
says Brandon. “We want to invite all attendees to remember those past Marigold
Memories they treasure while also creating new ones to build on for years to
come.”
Brandon enjoys seeing Pekin residents come out and celebrate
Dirksen’s legacy each year, all while supporting local organizations and
reconnecting with the community. He serves on the Pekin Marigold Festival Committee
with his wife Kendra and loves to see the committee’s nearly year-long planning
come to life in the fall. The committee has been meeting since January to begin
planning the 2022 season, including this year’s theme and the 50th Pekin
Marigold Festival logo design. As chairperson, Brandon facilitates meetings
with the committee and acts as a spokesperson for this year’s events.

area, Brandon says it started with his own parents who have been small business
owners in Pekin for 35 years. “Now,
Kendra and I are raising our children here and we want them to understand and
